PIONEER RESIDENT OF GREEN GROVE DIES

Herman Lipprandt, 82, and a resident of the Town of Green Grove for the past 45 years, was buried Monday afternoon. Services were held at two o'clock from St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Dietz officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Paul Woik, Theo. Sommer, Hubert Glenzer, Oscar Kademan, Emil Buss and Ernest Woik. Those in charge of the floral offerings were Mrs. Henry Buss, Mrs. Ed. Bjorn, Mrs. Ralph Woik and Anita Lipprandt.

During the service Mrs. Ted Miller sang "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Just As I am," being accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Paul Woik.

Herman Lipprandt was born on July 28, 1869 in Germany and passed away at this farm home on Thursday March 13th, suffering from old age. He came to the United States in 1888 when a young man of 19 years settling on a farm in the Town of Green Grove. On March 17, 1906 he and Anna Trester were joined in wedlock at Green Grove where they pursued the occupation of farming developing a fine home for their family.

Surviving him are his wife, three daughters Mrs. Victor (Helen) Grube of Owen, Mrs. Elvira Rauch and Mrs. Carl (Lydia) Bierbaum of Milwaukee; one son Walter, Owen, a brother, Oscar, also of Owen, 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Sharing the grief of his passing with his family is a wide circle of friends and neighbors of long standing.
