Wicker, Anna B. (22 APR 1896)

(Medford Star & News)

Married, on Wednesday evening, April 22nd, 1896, at 9:30 o’clock, at the M. E. Parsonage in this city Mr. Willis S. Cleveland of Grover, and Miss Anna Belle Wicker of Medford.

The publication of the above announcement will come as a surprise to many of the old friends of the young couple. They had been "keeping company" for some time, but they are such modest and quiet little folks that their marriage was somewhat of a surprise. It was their original intention to take the train for Green Bay, where they intended to have the ceremony, …. Sister, but his brother, Judson A. arrived her on Wednesday, who caused them to change their plans, and a strictly private wedding was held at the M. E. Parsonage that evening. The groom is a young man in whom the writer fells a strong personal interest. Schoolmates as well as playmates during the happy years of youth, and knowing the many sterling qualities of which he is possessed, we fell a brotherly interest in his welfare The bride is a sensible, modest little lady and enjoys the friendship and esteem of a large circle That they may enjoy many happy and prosperous years is certainly the sincere wish of their many friends.
