Blum, Mariann Meta (Marriage - 22 April 1972)

In a candlelight service solemnized Saturday evening, April 22, at 6 o’clock at the Franklinton (N.C.) Baptist church, Miss Mariann Meta Blum of Oxon Hill, Md, became the bride of Wayne Thomas Forsythe of Washington D. C. The Rev. Horace Jackson officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Blum of Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Forsythe of Franklinton, N.C., are the groom’s parents.

For her marriage, the bride chose a silk satin empire-waist gown trimmed with Chantilly lace and styled with a detachable train. Her shoulder-length veil was attached to a circular headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white roses, daisies and baby’s breath as she was given in marriage by her father.

Miss Karen Blum of Oxon Hill, Md, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a full-length gown of pink georgette over satin fashioned with an empire waist and lace trimmed leg o’mutton sleeves. A bouquet combining daisies centered with pink carnations and mixed flowers was accented with ribbons to match the gown. Her headpiece was a pillbox trimmed with illusion.

Mrs. Barbara Webb of Sea-(missed a portion as we did not have the males’ names). The newlyweds will be at home at 433A Maury Ave., Apt. 103 Oxon Hill, Md 20021.
