Hebert, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd (16 Apr 1918 - 21 Apr 1968)

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hebert, Loyal, who were married by the Rev. Kleppa in Greenwood April 16, 1918, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary of their marriage on Sunday, April 21.

At the 10:30 a.m. service at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. there was a special solo by the Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer. A dinner was served in the church dining room for approximately 60 guests, including the couple's brothers and sisters, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There was a large anniversary cake, gold candles and flowers.

The open house was held at the Spencer Municipal Hall from 3 to 5 p.m. with about 200 friends and relatives in attendance.

Mrs. Hebert had a corsage of yellow roses and her husband, a boutonniere.

Mr. Hebert was born to Louis and Mabel Hebert, September 26, 1897, in the town of Unity, and was educated in the township. Before he was married he farmed in the Spencer area.

Mrs. Hebert was the former Julia Johnson and also was born in the town of Unity to Severin and Hannah Johnson and also received her education there.

The couple are members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, and former members of Faith Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Both are in good health.

Mrs. Hebert's hobbies include cooking, baking and sewing. Her husband enjoys fishing, hunting and cabinetmaking.

For 25 years after their marriage the couple farmed in Clark County and then moved to Marshfield in 1944. Mr. Hebert worked at the A&P Store for five years and for the Rollohome Corporation for 12 years. Since 1963 he has been retired.

The couple has four sons, Donald and Virgil of Spencer; Gerald and Ward of Marshfield; and five daughters, Mrs. Ray (Ruby) Neumann, and Mrs. Gordon (Virgean) Zahn, Spencer, Mrs. Ralph (Arlene) Will, Colby, Mrs. Raymond (Bethel) Boehning, Marshfield; and Mrs. Richard (Lois) Oestreich, Loyal. There are 43 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
