After an illness dating since last January, following an attack of the flu, Jacob Kneubuehl died at his home near Monroe, Wis. last Friday forenoon. He had improved considerably under medical treatment while spending the summer at the Greub home west of town (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.), and only a few weeks ago returned to his residence near Monroe, where he had engaged in the cheese business. Death came suddenly from heart failure while he was about the factory. Funeral services were held at Monroe, and the remains were brought here on Monday evening. Services were held at the Reformed Church Tuesday afternoon, with the sermon by Rev. Grether, and burial was in the Mentor Cemetery.

Deceased was a native of Switzerland, born Aug. 19, 1881, at I'Diemdigen, Berne. He came to the States in 1902, and lived at New Glarus, working on a farm and later becoming a cheesemaker.

March 4, 1909, Mr. Kneubuehl was united in marriage with Miss Barbara Greub, and eight years of his married life were passed here, living first in Green Co., then here, and returning to Green Co. last February, where he died Nov. 7, 1919.

Surviving are his wife and four children, three brothers, Christ of Blanchardville, Gottlieb of St. Louis, and one residing in Switzerland; and three sisters, Mrs. Samuel Erb of Monroe, Mrs. Kerlli of New Glarus, and the third sister lives in Iowa. Mrs. Kerlli and Gottlieb Kneubuehl were present at the burial service.
