Dunlap, Goldie (4 SEP 1895 - 2 NOV 1918)

Miss Goldie Dunlap, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Dunlap, died at her home in the town of Alma, Jackson Co., Wis., last Saturday evening after a week's illness.

Goldie E. Dunlap was born at her home in Houghtonburg Sept. 4, 1895, and passed away at 6:15 Saturday evening, Nov. 2, 1918, after a week's illness of a complication of influenza and pneumonia. She was a kind and loving friends to all who knew her, always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone. She was a member and earnest worker in the Houghtonburg Sunday school, working for its higher ideals. Her good will and friendly countenance won for her many friends. There are left to mourn her death her parents, two brothers, George A. and Charles E., and one sister, Lefa S.

The funeral services were held at the home on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. D. Upson of Merrillan, and burial was in the Houghtonburg Cemetery. The services were attended by a large number of friends. Those from away who attended were Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Mee, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Mee, Mr. and Mrs. U. S. Hancock, Mrs. Wm. Fryer of Tomah, and Mrs. Wm. Rowan of Coin, Iowa.
