Staves, George and Ida (Anniversary - 8 MARCH 1923)

A merry group of over forty relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Staves in Cleveland Thursday evening March 8 to do homage on the eve of 30 years of wedded life. The bride of 1893 wore a beautiful messoun, and joined enthusiastically in the dancing and merry-making. The groom is jolly, hale, and hearty (although a trifle thin) nothing to make the event an outstanding memory was omitted. A spiffy lunch was served at midnight, even the charivari was loud and long. All present, including five sons, and one daughter, enjoyed the event immensely. Congratulations are extended for many years in the future. "The dove of peace hovers, 'round where George and Ida May be found. Contentment reigns, blue is the sky, May joy continue as the years go by."
