10 Years Ago, June 4, 1992 Mainly Heat Company, a heating and plumbing repair business, owned by Larry Barten, is the newest venture in Stanley.

25 Years Ago, June 2, 1977 Seven girls will be seeking the title of Miss Boyd this year. They are: Kim Anders, Deanne Jackson, Diane Licht, Shelly Marthaler, Cindy Meyer, Debbie Mitchell and Sue Wergedahl.

40 Years Ago, June 7, 1962 Boyd will be losing its only drug store at the end of this month, according to an announcement given this week by John Buchignani, owner of the Boyd Pharmacy. Declining business is given as the reason for the closing.

60 Years Ago, June 5, 1942 Director Hammell announces that the opening of of the series of summer band concerts will be given next Wednesday evening at Soo Line Park. This is one of the greatest pleasures enjoyed by Stanley people and the Stanley Band continues to improve from year to year.

70 Years Ago, June 3, 1932 A class of 45 will receive their diplomas tonight at the high school.

Julius Paul, well-known Stanley resident who has passed the century mark, was a guest of honor at the public band concert at the Soo Line Park Wednesday evening.

100 Years Ago, June 7, 1902 There was a meeting of the stockholders of the Stanley Laundry Company on Tuesday evening to take action relative to the closing up of the affairs of that institution.
