Angeline (Bauer) Duvall  (1917 - 1959)

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. John’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Angeline Duvall, 59, 113 W. Franklin St. who was found dead of a self-inflicted bullet wound at her home Monday. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. N. Schuh will officiate and burial is to be made in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

The body will be in state at the Rembs Funeral Home beginning Wednesday noon. A general rosary will be said there at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The former Angeline Bauer was born at Loyal, June 16, 1900. She received her education in Loyal. On October 17, 1917, she married Edwin Duvall at Loyal. They lived in the Loyal area until 1926, when they moved to the Marshfield area. She had resided in the city of Marshfield the past year.

She was a member of the Altar Society of St. John’s Catholic Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Isabell) Perner and Mrs. Paul (Violet) Perlock, both of Marshfield; two sons, Floyd and Charles, both of Marshfield; 13 grandchildren; one great grand child; three brothers, George Bauer, Wisconsin Rapids; Nick Bauer, Owen and Joe Bauer, Cadott, and four sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Chariton, Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Lester Sook, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Albert Roadt, Spencer, and Mrs. Elliot Hebert, Chili.

Her husband preceded her in death June 12, 1958. One son, a sister and four brothers also preceded her in death.

WOMAN FOUND SHOT TO DEATH

Marshfield police were called to 113 W. Franklin about noon today to investigate the death of Mrs. Angeline Duvall, 59, who was found lying on a bedroom floor.

Irvin A. Drach, Wood county coroner, said Mrs. Duvall died of a self-inflicted bullet wound from a 30.06 caliber rifle which was found under the body.

The body was discovered by a son, Floyd Duvall, who is employed at the Roddis Plywood Corp. plant.

Police said Mrs. Duvall had been despondent since the death of her husband, Edwin, about a year ago.

The body was taken to the Rembs Funeral Home.
