Johnson, Sue Ann (16 July 1983)

The Rev. Peter J. Leketas officiated at the nuptial ceremony July 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church during which Miss Sue Ann Johnson of 102 E. Fifth St. and David Paul Poppy, son of Mrs. John R. Poppy, 424 Wildcourt Court, and the late Mr. Poppy, exchanged vows. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Johnson of Route 2, Spencer.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents during the rites for which Mrs. Helen Brinkmann played the organ and Rita Ross sang.

The bride wore a chapel-entrained gown of fabric and lace and a white lace ht holding a floor-length train. She carried white rosebuds, stephanotis and baby's breath with fernery.

Betty Johnson of Route 2, Spencer, was maid of honor with Beatrice Weix of Colby, Donna Johnson of Spencer and Sue Shull, Marshfield, the bridesmaids. They had pink formals and their flowers were pink rosebuds with baby's breath and ferney.

Gary Anderson, Marshfield, was best man. Groomsmen were Bill Hardy and Jerome Johnson of Marshfield and Scott Tyznik, Spencer, and ushering were Steve Fuerlinger and Dale Johnson.

The reception, dinner and dance were at the Eagles Clubrooms here. The newlyweds are living at 1213 N. Peach Ave.

The bride, who works at St. Joseph's Hospital in the housekeeping department, is a 1979 graduate of Loyal High School. Her husband, a 1973 Auburndale High School graduate, is a warehouse employee for Distributors Warehouse Inc., Marshfield.
