Robert P. Seelow, 89, Stratford, passed away with family at his side on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center.


He was born February 26, 1933 to Herbert and Emma (Eslinger) Seelow in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County. He attended Stratford Schools. After school he helped his father farm and drove school bus. He was drafted into the Navy and served aboard the USS Picking.
Robert was united in marriage to Leola Reckner on December 29, 1956 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Stratford. They just celebrated their 65th anniversary and raised 4 sons. He was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.


Robert then worked at the Stratford Co-op and started farming on his own farm, living there his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his Lamer bus trips, and in his semi-retirement he built a cabin on Wilson Lake in Phillips.


He is survived by his wife Leola, sons, David (Sandra) Seelow of Marshfield, Richard and Daniel (Theresa) Seelow of Stratford. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Jonathan Seelow, Angela (Michael) Loveland, Amy (Kevin) Vach, Patty (Paul) Tackes, Eric Seelow, Cody (Danielle) Seelow and Kelsey Seelow. He is further survived by 2 great grandchildren, Ayden and Liam Tackes.


He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Arlen and a stillborn son, and also by his sister Patricia Schroeder.


A private service will be held for the family. The family would like to thank the staff of 8 North for their wonderful care
