Fitzgerald, Charlotte (Marriage - JUN 1923)

A simple but beautiful wedding occurred in the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Friday, 714 Larson St., last Friday morning at eight-thirty, when Miss Charlotte Fitzgerald of this city and Mr. Irving C. Barager of Eau Claire, were married by Rev. E. H. Longman with a single ring ceremony.

The home was beautifully but unpretentiously decorated with flowers, and the young couple was wed before an especially pretty bank of roses. The bride had for matron of honor, Mrs. M. E. Barager of Decatur, Ill., while the groom was attended by his brother, Mr. M. E. Barager, also of Decatur.

The wedding was followed immediately by a delicious wedding breakfast, perfectly served and charming withal. The center of the table was adorned with a rare bridal bouquet. At the close of the breakfast, the bride cut the large wedding cake.

The bride wore a gown of white satin with a tulle veil. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Following the wedding breakfast Mr. and Mrs. Barager motored to Madison, where they left for Chicago for a few days stay before going to points in northern Wisconsin to complete their wedding trip by a visit at lake resorts.

Mrs. Barager is the daughter of Mrs. A. C. Friday, a long-time resident of this city, and is well known here. She was graduated from the local high school and completed her education by attending the University of Wisconsin, from which institution she but recently received a B. A. degree. For a time she was active in Red Cross work in Richland and Adams counties, and since has been instructor in economics and social problems in the Eau Claire High School.

Mr. Barager is the son of Mrs. A. L. Barager of Owen, Clark County, Wis. He was graduated from Marquette University several years ago and has since engaged in business in Eau Claire, being president of the Barager-Webster Candy Co. of that place.

Only immediate relatives of the couple attended the ceremony, and of these the out-of-town guests were Mrs. A. L. Barager, V. P. Barager, Owen, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Barager, Decatur, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. Barager will be at home at 514 Fourth Av., Eau Claire, Wis., after July 15th.
