Rodda, Maggie (22 FEB 1897 - 9 Apr 1922)

Death on Sunday evening stilled the life of Miss Maggie Rodda, the 25-year-old daughter of Mr. Simon Rodda, residing eight miles west of the village of Withee, Clark County, Wis., after a lingering illness of many months of tuberculosis. She was a young lady of fine personality and was much admired by those who gained her acquaintance since her residence there. She leaves to mourn, her father and three brothers, all of who were at home at the time of her death. Her mother died a number of years ago.

Funeral services were held from the home on Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. Grandy of the Methodist Church of Withee officiating. Burial was made in the town of Maplehurst Cemetery.

Maggie Rodda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Rodda, was born in Pocahontas Co., Iowa, Feb. 22, 1897 and passed away at the home of her parents near Withee, April 8, 1922, at the age of 25 years, 1 month and 18 days.

The death was caused by tuberculosis.

In the spring of 1916 she moved with her parents to Taylor Co., where she lived until her death.

The deceased had suffered continuously for nearly two years, and every possible means was taken to prolong life and secure relief, but notwithstanding the best attendance and care, she finally succumbed.

Besides her father, she leaves to mourn her departure, four brothers, Will of Havelock, Iowa; and John, Theodore and Daniel of Withee, and a host of friends.

The funeral service was conducted at the house last Wednesday afternoon, Rev. w. F. Grandy of the Methodist Church officiating. A quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Baker, Mrs. Nelson and Mr. Hamel rendered appropriate hymns. Interment was in the Maplehurst Cemetery in Taylor Co.
