Richard Miles, Sr./Richard Miles, Jr.

A double funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church here for RICHARD M. MILES, 64, and his son RICHARD C. 31, both of Loyal, who were electrocuted Thursday night while adjusting a television tower in this community. The Rev. Norbert E. King will officiate, and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Myre funeral Home from Sunday Morning until time of services.

The elder Miles was born at Rhinelander on April 3, 1903 and came to Loyal as a young man after the death of his parents and made his home with his aunt, Lina Ratelle.

He was employed at Brauns Auto for some time, then for 13 years worked at the former Lakoaky (?) Implement before establishing his own T. V. sales and Service.

His marriage to Esther Salwey took place October 30, 1930 at Waumande, Wisconsin.

Mr. Miles was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic church in loyal, and Our Lady of Fatima Council, Knights of Columbus,

In addition to his wife, survivors are a daughter Miss Margaret Miles, St. Paul; four sisters, Mrs. Matt (Agnes) Ryan, Hillsboro, Oregon, Sister Ameliana, Milwaukee; Mrs. Ramona McCorkle, of California; and Mrs. Vernie Graham, Portland, Oregon.

A sister preceded him in death.

The younger Miles was born February 9, 1936, at Loyal, and was a graduate of the Loyal high School with the class of 1954. He was associated with his father in the T.V. business for four years, then served for two years in the U.S. Army, one of which was spent in Korea. After returning to Loyal, he rejoined his father in the T. V. business. He never married.

He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.
