Marcott, Lana Lee (9 July 1983)

After Mr. and Mrs. Richard John Barta were married July 9, they left for a honeymoon in Door County and on their return will live in Madison.

The former Miss Lana Lee Marcott, Madison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford V. Marcott, Dorchester, was given in marriage by her father to the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Barta of Racine.

The Rev. Robert Bordwardt officiated at the services in Bethel Lutheran Church, Madison.

The bride had a white gown and hat and her flowers were white, orchid and purple.

Miss Glenna Cloud of Madison was maid of honor with Mrs. Joseph Lukowicz of Denver and Mrs. Tom Moore, Verona, bridesmatrons. Miss Cloud was in a purple and orchid ensemble, the bridesmaids wearing orchid.

Tom Barta of Madison was best man. Groomsmen were Bob Goephel and Tom Engstrom of Racine and ushering were Tom Johnson and Tim McGuire, also of Racine.

The wedding festivities were at Bethel Lutheran Church with the reception at Lake Windsor Country Club.

The bride, a supervisor for the United Parcel Service, is a 1969 graduate of Colby High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for a year. The bridegroom graduated from St. Catherine's High School, Racine; graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and is in his last year of law school at Madison, also working for the Department of Agriculture there.
