Charlotte Wiater

Funeral services were held Monday early afternoon, October 13, for Mrs. Charlotte Wiater, 70, of Rt. 3, Neillsville. The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church rites with burial made in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Wiater passed away October 9 in Neillsville Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

The deceased was born on June 29, 1910, in Chicago to Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Stus. After receiving her education, she worked in Chicago until her September 3, 1933 marriage to Frank Wiater in that city. The couple moved to Clark County in 1951, where they farmed in the Town of Weston for a few years. After retiring, they continued to live on the farm until their deaths.

Surviving Mrs. Wiater are six sons, Cyril, Anthony, and Leonard, all of Owen; George, of Waukegan, Illinois, Eugene of Chili and Chester of Marshfield; and five daughters, Mrs. Wilfred (Caroline) Palms of Neillsville, Mrs. Roy (Mary Ann) Ormond of Marshfield; Mrs. Christine Ormond of Wausau, and Mrs. Frances Kleszski and Patricia Wiater, both of Appleton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, September 14, 1977; and one sister.

The Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
