Death, ever an unwelcome visitor, entered the household of our friend R. W. Campbell last Saturday, and took from his hearth stone his eldest boy Jacob, after an illness of one week. "Jake", as he was familarly called by his friends, was just on the dawn of man's estate, having reached the age of twenty years, and was a great favorite with all our people having lived here nearly all his life. It is a sad blow to his father and mother; a blow which makes the heart sick, and calls for the warmest sympathy from all. His life's labors are over, but he has only crossed the dark river to pitch his tent in the elyslan fields where, in the Sweet By and By he will welcome those now left to mourn his absence.
