A very pretty wedding took place on Tuesday morning, May 16, 1916, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Fischer of Green Grove township, Clark County, Wis., 6 miles south of Curtiss.

At 10 o'clock the bridal party, consisting of the groom, Mr. Charles Block and the bride, Miss Alice L. Fischer, accompanied by Mr. William G. Fisher and Miss Mary Lieu of Stanley, marched into the parlor to the sweet strains of the wedding march played by Miss Gretchen Meyers of Abbotsford. The beautiful ring ceremony was used. Rev. W. H. Sargent of Owen officiating.

After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served.

A large number of presents were given by their many friends.

The bride was attired in white taffeta and the groom in a conventional black suit.

The groom is a prosperous young merchant and post master of Curtiss, and is highly respected, and the bride who has taught school for several years and has attended during the past year, Ripon College, is much loved and esteemed by a large circle of friends. They left on the 11 o'clock train at Atwood for Minneapolis, where they will spend their honeymoon.

Those present from outside the family were Mrs. Mohr of Ingram, mother of the groom; Miss Fischer of Plymouth, aunt of the bride; Mr. William G. Fischer of Ripon College, brother of the bride; Miss Mary Lieu of Stanley; Mr. Robert Durke of Plymouth and Mrs. Bass of Curtiss.
