EMMA LIPPRANDT

Funeral services were conducted here Monday afternoon at Immanual Lutheran Church for Mrs. Emma Lipprandt, 85-year old Medford resident who died Thursday evening at Memorial Nursing Home, Medford, where she has resided the past four years.

Rev. Kenley Mann and Rev. Marvin Zank officiated and burial took place in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Green Grove, Clark County. Service as pallbearers were Allen Anderson, Alan Kriplean, Orin Toltzman, Tim Anderson, Virgil Schraufnagel and Bill Scharrschmidt.

The body lay in state at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford.

The former Emma Obscherings, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Emil Obschernings, was born January 16, 1903 at Wannaglauken, Germany, and received her education in Germany.

She came to the United States at age 25, settling at Philadelphia where she worked for a sort time before moving to the Medford area. Her marriage to Harry Lipprandt, who predeced her in death May 1, 1970, took place October 25, 1929, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Town of Green Grove.

After their marriage the cople farmed and lived in the Town of Green Grove for a period of years prior to moving to the City of Medford in March of 1952. Mrs. Lipprandt then did cleaning work for various businesses and individuals until her retirement.

She was a member of Immanual Lutheran Church and a former member of the Ladies of Immanual.

Surviving her are two daughters, Elsie, Mrs. Aaron Anderson, Spencer, and Mrs. Anita McKenna, Milwaukee: two sons, Norbert, Elgin, Ill., and Robert, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Other survivors include three brothers, Fritz Obscherning, Medford, and Albert Rudau, New Richmond.

Five brothers also prededed her in death.
