Dessloch, Stella (Marriage - 10 OCT 1929)
A very pretty autumn wedding took place at the St. John's Evangelical Church last Thursday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock, Rev. G. H. Hahn reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Stella Dessloch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Dessloch, became the bride of Mr. L. A. Hintz of Oshkosh. The Misses Ruth and Clara Hintz, sisters of the groom, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Mr. Eli Dessloch of Madison, a brother of the bride, and Mr. Harold Zimdars of Oshkosh.
The bride was attired in a charming dress of chiffon with lace, over white satin crepe, a silk veil with long train, worn in cap effect, with orange blossoms and white satin slippers with hose to match. She carried an arm bouquet of butterfly roses and a white prayer book. Miss Ruth Hitz was dressed in orchid georgette over satin and Miss Clara Hintz wore a dress of pastel green georgette over satin. Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet of roses, gladiolas and baby breath.
The wedding dinner was served at the Robinson Hotel at seven o'clock, covers being laid for twenty-two.
The bride is a graduate of the Colby, Wis. High School and the Oshkosh State Teachers' College and taught school in this section several years ago. Mr. Hintz is a furrier at the John R. Reimer Fur Store at Oshkosh.
Besides members of the immediate families, the guests were Mrs. A. Hintz, Mr. and Mrs. W. Hintz, and daughter, Phyllis, Walter Busachtler, the Misses Leon and Emma Hintz, all of Oshkosh; Eli Dessloch of Madison; Mr. and N. L. Dessloch, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Welsch, Mrs. H. Bredemeyer and Miss Meta Dehne.
