(Marriage - 21 JUN 1928) A very interesting
wedding took place at the Methodist Church Thursday afternoon, June
21, 1928, Rev. Fahlgren officiating, when Miss Laura Graumann,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Graumann, became the bride of Mr.
George Carr, son of John W. Carr of Des Moines, Iowa. Elsie
Graumann, sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor and the groom
was attended by his brother, John Carr. Little Verena Graumann was
flower girl. The bride wore a
beautiful dress of white georgette and carried a shower bouquet
consisting mostly of carnations. The maid of honor wore a dress of
yellow georgette. In the evening, a
wedding reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, the
home being nicely decorated in pink and white for the occasion. The newlyweds will
make a wedding trip to Iowa and will be at home after July 4th on
the groom's farm four miles east of Colby, Wis. Both the bride and
groom are very well and favorably known to all in this community
and congratulations on the happy event are numerous and this paper
is greatly pleased on this occasion to add its hearty good wishes
to those so freely extended. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
