MRS. ANDREW MOHR, age 76, nee Wilhelmina Thelke, was born in Germany, October 26, 1865. She came to America with her parents in 1882, settling first in Fond du Lac County. Mrs. Mohr passed away at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 1942, having suffered a stroke of paralysis on June 16th.

Wilhelmina was married to Andrew Mohr of Rhinelander on May 14, 1891. The couple made their home there for about twelve years, coming to Clark County in 1903. They purchased a farm in the town of Pine Valley where they lived until the spring of 1925, when they purchased a home on North Emery Street, in Neillsville. Mr. Mohr died on April 20, 1932.

Mrs. Mohr was the mother of five children, of which a daughter, Johanna preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Christian (Mary) and Fred (Blanche) of Pine Valley, two daughters, Bertha (Clarence) Stiemke, Pine Valley and Marie at home in Neillsville. There are ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Mohr is survived by a sister Mrs. Johanna Koentop of Rosendale, WI.

Mrs. Mohr was the type of woman who stood for all that is true and just, holding throughout life to the principles taught by her parents and the church to which she had always been loyal.

The body will remain at the Jaster Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Thursday, being removed to the family home for a short service at 1:30 followed by the funeral service at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Mrs. Baumann and Mrs. Arthur Jaster will sing the German hymn, "Lasst Mich Gehn". Interment will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
