Phonograph (Colby, Wis.) 10/20/1927 Carpenter, Evelyn
(Marriage - 18 OCT 1927) A very interesting
wedding took place Tuesday, Oct. 18, 1927, at the Catholic Church
in Abbotsford, Rev. Monarski officiating, when Miss Evelyn
Carpenter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. I. Carpenter of Abbotsford,
Wis., became the bride of William F. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Young of Colby, Wis. Miss Ione Carpenter, sister of the
bride, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Leonard
Van Dehey. The bride wore a beautiful dress of brown satin and the
bridesmaid was attired in a dress of tan flat crepe. Immediately after
the marriage ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the home of the
bride's parents in Abbotsford, where a wedding reception was given.
In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft's
park in Colby, which was largely attended. After a wedding
trip to points in southern Wisconsin, the newlyweds will be at
home, Oct. 25th, at Abbotsford. Both the bride and
groom are well and favorably known to people of Colby and
Abbotsford and have many friends who wish them a happily married
life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
