The combined open house for the new addition and also the 75th anniversary of the bank was held on Sunday afternoon, October 16, 1977, from the hours of 1:30 to 4:30. Bank officials reported that even before 1:00 people were already lined up waiting to tour the facilities and register for the many prizes. The crowd kept coming well past the hour of 4:30, set for the end of festivities.

With a total of 784 registrations, and many more who didn’t register, the officers of the State Bank of Withee estimate that well over 800 people visited the new addition and newly remodeled facilities, and enjoyed the char-broiled eef sandwich and anniversary cake.
