Lester Bruesewitz, 85, Mosinee, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. The Rev. Karl Rose officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Lester Bruesewitz was born March 25, 1918 in the Town of Unity, to Fred and Agnes (nee Klein) Bruesewitz. He attended Willowbrook School and Riplinger High School. He married Delores Westberg on July 2, 1945, in Colby. They farmed in the Town of Unity. He was a barn builder, owning and operating Bruesewitz Builders. His interests included gardening, fishing, playing cards with family and friends in their home on the Eau Plaine flowage, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer.
Survivors include his wife, Delores, Mosinee; two sins, Ron (Eileen) Bruesewitz, New Berlin, and Charles (Sandy) Bruesewitz, Owen; one daughter, Susan (Dennis) Olson, Sussex; seven grandchildren, Stacy (Sivert) Lang, Eric Bruesewitz, Alyssa Olson, Michael Olson, Julie (Greg) Miller, Joe (Jessica) Maass, and Nicole (Tom) Larson; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Donald Bruesewitz; one sister, in infancy; and one brother-in-law, Erland Westberg.
Community Funeral Home, Spencer, assisted the family with arrangements.
