Quackenboss, Martha L. (5 Sep 1857 - 8 Sep 1925)

Mrs. George Quackenboss departed this life to be with her Master, Sept. 8, 1925, at the age of 68 years and three days.

Martha Louise Marshall was born at Bally Cory, Ontario, Canada, Sept. 5, 1857. She was married at the age of sixteen years to Wm. Brawley of Toronto, Canada. To this union three children were born, two dying at infancy and one at the age of twenty-one years. Mr. Brawley died in the winter of 1895. Three years later, she married Mr. George Quackenboss of the town of Hull, Marathon Co. In 1906 they sold their farm east of Colby, Wis. and moved to town. Two years later they moved to Clinton, Iowa, where Mr. Quackenboss died.

After disposing of her property at Clinton she moved her household furniture to Colby. Mrs. Quackenboss was a worker in the church, her last membership being with the M. E. Church of Colby, where funeral services were conducted Friday by Rev. Von Busch of Abbotsford in the absence of Rev. Lucas, pastor. She was loved by all her friends and will be missed by all who knew her. Interment took place at the Marshfield Cemetery.
