GREENWOOD-- Sgt. Bob Schneider, a McFarland police officer and son of Mrs. Anna Schneider of Greenwood, was recently selected to receive the 1983 Wisconsin American Legion's Edward J. Ormsby law and order award.'

Schneider, a 12-year veteran of the force, won the award on county, district and state levels for his work with McFarland and Dunn town youth.

Schneider was recommended for the award by the Edwards-Foye American Legion Post 534 in McFarland.

He received the award at festivities July 16, attended by several members of the Greenwood American Legion Post, as well as family members.
