Landwehr, Sherri Lynn (9 July 1983)
The Rev. Victor L. Headrick officiated at a nuptial ceremony, July 9 at Emmanuel
Lutheran Church, March Rapids, where Miss Sherri Lynn Landwehr, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Duane Landwehr, Route 1, Stratford, and Charles Allen Ortner, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ortner of Route 1, Willard, were wed.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents during nuptials for which Mrs.
Headrick and Steve Helmke sang and Mrs. Janet Syring was organist.
The Victorian bridal gown of fabric, schiffli embroidery and alencon lace had a
train and was in empire styling. In her cascade bouquet were pink roses, red
rosebuds and white stephanotis.
Miss Sandra Landwehr of Stratford was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Cynthia Takes of Walker, Iowa, and Mrs. Linda Rasmussen and Miss Laurie Hayen,
both of Marshfield. They had lilac formals with lace capelets and carried white
lace fans with pink and lilac roses. Each had flowers in her hair.
Kristina Ploeckelman of Granton was miniature bride; Brian Ortner, Greenwood,
the miniature bridegroom.
Joseph Ortner of Route 1, Willard, was best man. Groomsmen were Doug Landwehr of
Stratford, Michael Ortner of Willard and Roger Mancl, Marshfield, and ushering
were Terrance Landwehr and James Ortner.
The dinner, reception and dance were at the Loyal American Legion Hall.
Following a wedding trip through Minnesota and Iowa, the Ortners will live on
Route 3, Neillsville.
The bridegroom, who works for Volovsek Forest Products, is a 1980 Greenwood High
School graduate. His wife, a Figi's Inc. employee, graduated in 1979 from
Stratford High School.
