Kattie L. Langreck, Neillsville, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2003 in an automobile accident north of Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Neillsville. The Rev. Donald Wilger officiated. Music was provided by Ronald Resong, organist, and St. Mary's Choir. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Neillsville. Pallbearers were her uncles and cousins, Dan Langreck, Jim Langreck, Peter Langreck, Bronson Langreck, Jonathon Langreck, Bennet Langreck, Seth Langreck, and Tim Marek, Jr.

Kattie Lynn Langreck was born Dec. 25, 1985 in Marshfield, to Roger and Brenda (nee Holman) Langreck. She was a student at Neillsville High School and entering her senior year. After graduation she had planned on attending Chippewa Valley Technical College, and earning a degree in nursing. She was a member of the POMS dance squad at school and served as a student athletic trainer for the football team, preparing the players before practice and games. She was working at the Neillsville Pizza Hut and had just recently been promoted to service-trainer. He interests included gymnastics, dance, and just hanging around with her friends. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Neillsville.

Survivors include her parents, Roger and Brenda Langreck, Neillsville, one sister, Lacey Langreck, Neillsville; her grandparents, Ruth Holman and Robert "Buck" DeMert, both of Neillsville, and Harold and Dorothy Langreck, Neillsville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Preceding her in death were her grandmother, Rosalie Langreck; and uncle, Danny Holman, and a cousin Serena.

Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
