Weaver, Russell and Gladys (Gold – Augl 1977)

Russell and Gladys Weaver observed their 50th Wedding Anniversary, entertaining 92 guests at a Champagne Reception and Buffet on August 4, 1977, with their daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Raymond Ammentorp and three grandsons co-hosting the party, held in the Parish Hall of St. Martha’s Episcopal Church. Friends attended from Tucson, Arizona, Lakewood, Downey and Santa Barbara; with Russell’s three sisters and husband traveling from Wisconsin, and grandson Michael McMillan from St. Paul, Minnesota to honor them.

The couple was married on August 15, 1927 in Owen, Wisconsin, where they made their home until 1962, when they moved to California, settling in West Covina. They have the one daughter and three grandsons.

Russell is retired, but keeps busy with woodworking, and both he and his wife are active members of the St. Martha’s Episcopal Church.

Mr. and Mrs. James Seivwright, Amherst Junction, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kadonsky and son David, Stevens Point, and Mrs. Mildred Robersen of Wauwatosa were in attendance at their brother’s Party, and pre-visitors at the Weaver home wither their nephews, Mr. and Mrs. James Robersen, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Robersen. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth King, Stone Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weaver, Appleton, had also planned to attend, but due to unexpected surgery for both men, they were not able to make the trip
