Haskin, John E. (28 Mar 1881 - 21 Apr 1916)

Mr. John E. Haskin passed away in death at his home Friday afternoon at three o'clock after months of illness of dropsy and heart trouble.

The deceased was born in the town of Beaver, Clark County Wis., March 28, 1881. He was married to Miss Ethel Anderson Nov. 29, 1906.

After living three years on his father's farm they moved to Wibaux, Mont. He came back to Wisconsin Feb. 17, 1916, thinking the change would benefit him.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and three children, Glen, Charles and Donald, an aged father and mother, and brother Will of Almira, Wash., Mrs. Rose Welsch of Spokane and Carl Haskin of Sidney, Mont.

He was a kind and affectionate husband and father. His death brought a great sorrow to the happy home circle and everyone will join with us in expressing our sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

The funeral took place Monday afternoon at the home of George Anderson, Rev. Powell conducting the services. Interment took place at the Loyal Cemetery.

I just recently found this obituary for John E. Haskin. John is my great-grandfather (my grandfather is Glen) and I had very little information on that side of my family until now. I didn't even know where my grandfather was born. Just wanted to say thank you very much for posting this and feel free to let me know if you have any questions you'd like to ask of me. Kerry Haskin

Wow, just found this. John was my grandfather who I've never met. Charles was my father and Glen was one of my favorite uncles. Contact: Eileen Wright

Hi Eileen, That makes you my great aunt. Glenn was my grandfather and I have many fond memories of him. I have some questions about this family that I'd like to ask you as I'm trying to work on this part of my family's genealogy. If you'd like to write back please e-mail me directly at carlosreyes@sbcglobal.net. If not, that's OK too. Thanks for replying to the original message. Kerry Haskin
