Turner, Mabel A. (Marriage - 7 OCT 1915)

The Abie Turner home in York Center, Clark County, Wis. was the scene of a pretty wedding Wednesday evening, Oct. 7, 1915, when their oldest daughter Mabel Agnes, was with Mr. Emil Schoenfeld, united in the hold bonds of matrimony, Rev. Brandt of Neillsville pronouncing the sacred words which united this worthy young couple.

The parlor was prettily decorated in green and white and one corner of the room was set off by a large floral arch, back of which and directly under a large white wedding bell, the bridal party took their places.

The bride wore a dress of cream serge, with trimmings of messaline and shadow lace and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and white roses. She was attended by her close friend, Miss Mabel Teatz, becomingly dressed in white, and acting as bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Grant Turner, a brother of the bride who acted as groomsman. Miss Martha Gaerke of Plymouth played the wedding march and little three-year-old Aldine Vatter, a niece of the groom's acted as ring bearer.

Congratulations followed the ceremony. Then the dining room, where a bounteous wedding supper was spread, next took the attention of the guests, numbering some 50, and a real banquet was here enjoyed. The color scheme here was pink and white. The newlyweds began housekeeping the next day in the cozy apartments the groom had prepared in the rooms over his cheese factory, not far removed from the home of the bride's parents.

The bride is a young lady of excellent character and is held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. The groom came to Clark County several years since and purchased the York Center Cheese Factory, devoting himself to the duties incident to the managing and operating of same, since. He is a young man of ability and integrity, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schoenfeld of Plymouth, Wis.

York Center, we know, welcomes this worthy young couple into the married folks ranks and congratulates herself that they are to remain and establish their home there. That their life May be one of real success and true happiness is the wish of all who know them and in which we most heartily join. (Granton News)
