Donald Marion 1930-2003

Donald Marion, 72, passed away at his home on March 25.

Donald was born on July 18, 1930, in the town of Edson, the son of John and Barbara (Mahal) Marion. He grew up in the Edson area and attended area schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War.

After his term of service, Donald returned to the Edson area and has resided there since, working on construction. During his retirement years he operated his own lawn ornament business until last year.

Donald is survived by two brothers, John and Herbert Marion, both of Chippewa Falls; two sisters, Alfreda Melville of Chippewa Falls and Delores of Granton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Barbara Marion; one brother, Norbert of Cadott; and two sisters, Agnes of Milwaukee and Theresa Labinski of Augusta.

Donald wishes were that he be remembered as he was in life, not in death.

A private family graveside service will be conducted at a later date at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Edson.
