Frasier, Benjamin F. (23 NOV 1857 - 16 JUN 1910)

Died, in this village on Thursday, June 16, 1910, B. F. Frasier at the age of fifty-two years, o chronic nephritis.

The deceased was born on Nov. 23, 1857 at New Prospect, Fond du Lac Co., Wis. He was married to Miss Rosa Roscoe on Feb. 12, 1879, and two years later came to Clark County, Wis. and settled on a farm in the town of Beaver, which he owned at the time of his death. Four years ago he was chosen by the County Board of Supervisors to superintend the poor farm. Which position he held until he resigned last February on account of ill health and went to the Sacred Heart Sanitarium at Milwaukee. He remained there three weeks and not being benefited returned to Neillsville, where he remained eleven weeks. Nine days before he died he was brought to this village, where a home had been prepared for him.

He has held many positions of trust, among them being director of the Lynn Fire Insurance Co. for three terms or nine years, and treasurer for two years. He was president of the Lynn Cyclone Insurance Co., which he helped organize, ever since its organization in 1905, and was very active in furthering its advancement and done much toward making that organization one of strength. He was chairman of the town of Beaver for four years.

His last words were expressive of peace in God and a willingness to depart and be at rest with Him as he suffered much during his illness. His cheerful, helpful life; his devotion to his wife and family and kindness to everybody will long linger as a fragrant memory in the home which his presence brightened and which death has now darkened. Though he is gone his record has been made and will remain with us. He commanded the respect of all classes of people, as the large attendance at his funeral verified. It was perfectly natural for him to do right.

He leaves a widow and one son, John R., to mourn his loss.

The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock and his remains laid to rest with Modern Woodman honors beside those of his son in the M. E. Cemetery, who died in his nineteenth year eight years ago.
