Fauss, Elsie (Marriage - 24 JUN 1908)

At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fauss, yesterday afternoon at one o'clock was solemnized the marriage of their daughter Elsie to Halbert D. Brown. Rev. William Lange officiated.

At the appointed hour the young couple, attended by Miss Elizabeth Fauss and Harry Brown, took their place to the strains of a wedding march played by Miss Alma Fauss. The color scheme was pink and white in the dining room, roses and carnations being the flowers used. At the close of the ceremony congratulations were extended, after which an elegant dinner was served in courses.

The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of white Persian lawn and wore white roses and the groom wore the conventional black. Master Robert Crane of Milwaukee acted as flower boy and ring bearer.

Both the contracting parties are well known here (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) and are loved and respected by all who have the pleasure of their acquaintance. The groom is a son of C. H. Brown of this village. It is a pleasure to chronicle the marriage of such worthy young people.

The presents received by the newly married couple were numerous and handsome, as well as costly, especially those given by the parents of the bride and groom.

The happy couple left the same day in the evening for Spencer and will take a wedding trip to Minnesota and other points for two weeks. They will make their future home in Milwaukee, where the groom is proprietor of a fine grocery store on the north side.
