Obituary of Agnes Damerow

Agnes Damerow was born at Lubow, Pomerania, Germany, May 1, 1892. The family came to Greenwood April 12, 1902. She was confirmed in Braun Settlement Reformed Church April 2, 1905. For the past 20 years she was employed in Chicago. She returned to Greenwood Last November for a visit with relatives, intending to return to Chicago in January. She passed away at the home of her brother Herman Damerow in the Town of Longwood, Saturday, January 9, 1937. The immediate cause of her death was pneumonia.

She is survived by 4 brothers, Herman and Karl Jr. of the town of Longwood, Paul of the town of Warner, William who is an officer in a CCC Camp at Hayward and two sisters, Marie (Mrs. Ed Braun) of the town of Longwood and Elizabeth (Mrs. Geo. Fiske) of Milwaukee.

Those who preceded her in death are her mother, Marie Salzsieder Damerow, one brother, Max Otto, and two sisters, Anna, Mrs. Otto Horn and Helen, Mrs. Edward Kruse.

Her father passed away Wednesday morning January 13, 1937 at 3:00 o'clock.

Funeral services were held from the Braun Settlement Reformed church at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with burial in the church cemetery, Rev. E. G. Pfeiffer officiating.

Pallbearers were Carl Reber, Henry Horn, Gustave Horn, Wm. Alperstett, Theodore Braun and Hubert Horn.

Those who had charbe of the flowers were Mavis Poppe, Helen Horn, Johanna Reber, Violet Speich, Edna Preller.

Those from away who attended the funeral were; Fred Sennhem of Columbus, Paul Sabatke of Juneau, Wm. Sabatke of Lowell, Mrs. Geo. Fiske of Milwaukee, Wm. Damerow of Camp Taylor Lake, Iris Braun of Wausau, Mrs. Martha Raatz and Ed Raatz of Green Grove.
