Lorraine Tokarz

Lorraine M. Tokarz, age 70, of Lublin, died on Thursday, December 6, 2001 in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Lorraine Mary Tokarz was born on January 28, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Mary (Kowal) Tokarz. She was raised in the Chicago area, attending parochial school and graduating from high school. After graduation, she attended a Beauty Culture School and worked as a beautician for a number of years in Chicago. Lorraine also worked at Chicago Rawhide for many years in the early 1970’s, she retired with her parents and moved to Lublin, WI where she has resided until the time of her death.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2001 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin. Father Phillip Juza officiated and burial followed in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: Debi Betz, Tim Pizzi, Robert Tokarz, Aloiz Kowal, Donald Shere and Kelly Dietzler. Visitation was held on Monday, December 10, 2001 at the Thorp Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

She is survived by two aunts: Sophie Wienski of Montello, WI, Anna (Ted) Smietana of Chicago; two uncles: Stanley (Mae) Tokarz of Lublin, WI, Frank Yanczak of Sparta, IL; numerous cousins and 25 godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two uncles George and John Tokarz and two aunts Mary and Nellie Tokarz.
