Florence Soli

Florence Mabel Soli, 89, 450 Grant St., Apartment #5, Stanley, WI died at her residence Friday, October 12, 2001, at 2:15 p.m.

Florence was born in Stanley, WI on March 16, 1912 the daughter of Louis and Clara (Peterson) Kolstad. She grew up in Stanley attending schools and graduating from Stanley High School.

On June 12, 1936 she was united in marriage to Conrad Soli in Decorah, IA. They lived in Thorp, WI where she had been a secretary at Thorp High Schools for a number of years, then moving to Milwaukee, WI where she was also a secretary for St. John’s Home for the Aged. In later years Florence moved back to Stanley where she has resided since. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son, Bruce C. Soli of Lake Tomahawk, WI; two grandchildren: Constance (Brian) Walsh and James Solie. Also by great grandchildren: Justin and Meredith Walsh and also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Conrad in 1945, parents, brothers: Arnold, Roy, Lloyd, John and Glen Kolstad and sisters: Lillie Solie and Viola Kolstad.

Graveside services will be Saturday, October 20, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Stanley, WI with Pastor William Stewart officiating. In case of inclement weather, services to be held at the Plombon Funeral Home at the same time. Memorials to be given to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church or one’s personal choice.
