Temperance at Humbird Editor Press - Please allow me, through your columns, to briefly notice the success of the Rocky Mound Lodge, No. 190, I.O. of G.T. Since its organization last spring its members have steadily increased, and now boasts a membership of seventy-five. Many of the leading citizens and business men are active members and labor diligently for its success, and the change which its influence has wrought upon the moral character and reputation of our town in the past four months is indeed surprising. Bro. J. A. Johnson, State Organizer, visited our Lodge Aug, 5th, and installed the officers for the present quarter, after which he organized a Degree Temple. The following are the officers for the present term.

W.C.T. - F. W. Whitcomb W.V.T.- Mrs. Calvin Allen W.R.S. - R.D. McElhose W. Treas. - Mrs. W.H. Clark W. Chap.- D.H. Haner W.M. - Fred Simmons W.I.G - Mrs. Mary Calif W.O.G. - Cady Fowler P.W.C.T-- Calvin Allen L.D. - J.C. Taft R.H.S. - Mrs. Henry Howes L.H.S. - Mrs. Charles Buell W.A.S. - W.
