Fisher, Jasper H. (12 OCT 1821 - 15 Jan 1905)

The death of one of our oldest citizens occurred here Sunday morning at half past two when Jasper Harvey Fisher passed away.

Mr. Fisher was born at Syracuse, N.Y., Oct. 12, 1821, where he received his education and spent the early part of his life. Since leaving Syracuse he has always lived in Wisconsin. He was married to Adeline M. Richards in 1863 and five children were born to them, three of whom died at an early age. Left to mourn his loss are two daughters, Mrs. Dolly Bolton of Fond du Lac, Mrs. L. W. Mack of this village, and one brother at Lincoln, Neb.

In 1881 he purchased a farm at York Center, Clark County, Wis. where he lived until about six years ago when he moved to Loyal, Clark County, Wis. He was a member of the Methodist Church of this place and before coming here had been a member of the Methodist Church at York Center ever since it was founded.

For some time before his death he had been gradually failing, but had been confined to his bed only for a short time. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, Rev. J. A. Hill officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the York Center Cemetery. The beautiful flowers expressed the affection of many friends who extend their deepest sympathy.
