Schumacher, Leroy G. (5 Dec 1931 - 6 JUN 2003)

Leroy G. Schumacher, 71, Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., died June 6, 2003, at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Neillsville. Interment will be in Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery in King.

He was born Dec. 5, 1931, in Butler to George and Isabel (Bull) Schumacher. He was married to Frances Lawton on Dec. 1, 1951. For 27 years, he drove trucks for Brookfield Lumber in Milwaukee, and he served in Japan during the Korean War.

Survivors include Frances Schumacher; two sons, Robert L. (Janette) Schumacher, Wild Rose, and Jeff A. Schumacher, Neillsville; a daughter, Suzanne F. (Michael) Heili, West Bend; a brother, George Schumacher, Milwaukee; two sisters, Deloras Weiczorek, Oak Creek, and Helen (Joe) Jessen, Pewaukee; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
