Danielson, David M. (23 Sep 1904 - 12 May 2003)

David M. Danielson, 98, Chippewa Falls, formerly of Greenwood, died on Monday, May 12, 2003, at Chippewa Manor Nursing Home, Chippewa Falls. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 16, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Terri Blomberg officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood City Cemetery.

David M. Danielson was born on Sept. 23, 1904, in Chicago, to David A. and Mary (nee Pearson) Danielson. In 1906, he moved with his family to a farm near Greenwood. He was raised on the family farm and educated in Greenwood, and graduated from Greenwood High School. He completed the UW-Madison farm short course and returned to Greenwood to farm. He married Naomi Emberson on June 19, 1948. They farmed in the Greenwood area and retired in 1966, when they moved into Greenwood. His wife died on Aug. 27, 1979. He married Evelyn Turnquist on April 11, 1987. They resided in Greenwood until he entered Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in February 1997. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood. His interests included fishing and hunting.

Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Naomi; his second wife, Evelyn, on June 23, 1998; three brothers, John, Peder and Arendt; and one sister, Hanne.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
