The following obituary notice of Mrs. Amanda Parker, step-daughter of Egbert Mead of the town of Reseburg, Clark County, Wis., and formerly residing here, we clip from the Augusta, Wis. Times: "Mrs. Amanda E. L. Parker died at her home in this city on Friday, Nov. 26, 1897, after a brief illness, aged 32 years, 1 month and 6 days.

Mrs. Parker, whose maiden name was Arnold, was born at AuSable, Mich., Oct. 20, 1865. She came with her parents to Wisconsin in June 1881. She was married to Joseph Parker Feb. 16, 1885, and they lived at Thorp, Clark County, Wis. until 1891, when they came to Augusta, where they have since lived. Unto them four children were born, two of whom, Arthur, 8 years old, and a boy 2 years old, survive her.

She was taken sick on Thursday Nov. 18th and died as above noted, on Friday Nov. 26th. The funeral was held from the M. E. Church in this city on Sunday last, the Rev. W. W. Hurd officiating.

Mr. Parker and the little ones have the sympathy of the community."
