Mr & Mrs. Martin Eliason had a daughter on Saturday.

Jos. Klouda, shoemaker, hung a new sign in front of his shop.

John Servity, Withee, sold Lester Tilton's acreage to Booth Brothers last week.

Chas Nelson, from Worden, sold his farm last week to Wm. Langemak of New Holstein. Cost $4,000. At age 42, Mrs. Adeline Hast died at her daughters home, Mrs. Geo, Biddle on April 9th from typhoid pneumonia.

Harriet (Brinker) Maddux, age 61, died on April 1st at her daughters home, Mrs. W.J. Mallory, from consumption.

Men building new barns or residences: Ed Carpenter, Geo Meyer, Anton Micke, John Schmidt, Fred Driessen, Hans Olson, Frank Heiding, Chas. Brann, Fred Bratz and Louis Bachhouse a new granary.

75 YEARS AGO: In Wisconsin, children from age 14 and 16 can legally drive automobiles.

John Pabich bought 20 acres from Adam Lesniewski Wm. Mayenschien and Rose Butler were married by W. Bennette.

John Heagle sold his farm to Anton Pawlek. Mark Wohld bought Emil Ehlert's cheese factory and store.

Margaret Hansen spent the weekend with her parents. She teaches in Highland Park, IL. Harley Swim spent Easter with his family here. He works as a foreman for Soo Line Section in Colby. Edna Peeples returned to Downing where she will teach.

50 YEARS AGO:

Mrs. Ernie Hanschu (Anna Rasmussen), died March 31st, 1953 in Los Angeles, CA.

Roger Turenne was chosen by the faculty of Thorp High School for Boys State.

Marion Herman, lineman for Thorp Telephone Co. is replacing lines and poles.

Mr & Mrs. Roland Seidl had a daughter, Linda Lou, born March 30th in Chippewa.

Michael Kryzanski, enlisted in the Marines for 3 years.

Peter Balcer, age 85, died March 29 in Perham, Minn.

Mrs. John Bohman, age 74 died April 7th in Green Bay.

Mr & Mrs. Harold Couillard from Sheldon had a son and Mr. & Mrs. Felix Nowak from Lublin had a daughter.

Jeanne Ann was christened by Rev. Shlikas. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Louis Przybylski from Sheboygan.

Cpl Leonard J. Szymanski is coming home from Korea after 10 months on the front lines.

25 YEARS AGO:

James Senn and Lynn Merlak are king and queen of Thorp High's Junior Prom.

Joseph Czernicki Sr., age 87, died at West Hills on April 9th.

Mr & Mrs. Mel Haas of Roger Creek, announced a grandson born to Mr. & Mrs. Ronald Haas of Prescott on April 4th.

Mr & Mrs. Gale Haas had a son on April 7th in Chippewa.

Stas and Jody Lawcewicz had a son, Dale on April 8th.

Kenneth Tiedeman, age 79, died on April 9th in St. Petersburg, FL.

Mr & Mrs. Leon burkhardt had a dauther on March 29th.

Mrs. Albert Schilling, age 74, died April 9th in Eau Claire.

Mrs. Theresa Nowak, age 79, died April 3rd in Thorp Care Center.

Lydia Warner, age 73 once from Jump River, died April 7th in Mukwonage.

Alice Badzinski received a pin & certificate from the American Health Care Assoc. of Activity Coordinators after finishing the course for Activity Director.

10 YEARS AGO:

Lucille Person, age 62, died April 12th in Stanley.

Techla (Heidemann) Anderson, age 86, died April 19th.

Scott & Antonette Osburn had a son on April 2nd.
