Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 11/23/1916 Kotecki, Garfield
(1 Mar 1892 - 16 NOV 1916) Garfield Kotecki,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kotecki, of the town of Withee, Clark
County, Wis., died at the home of his parents in that town at an
early hour on Thursday morning last. He was born in Pittsburgh,
Pa., on March 1, 1892, and came here two years later with his
parents. In 1914 he purchased the James Connor saloon, which he
conducted since. On Monday of last week he suffered a hemorrhage of
the lungs. Not in robust health owing to asthma trouble he was
considerably weakened and was taken to his home in the town of
Withee. For a couple of days his condition seemed to improve but
another hemorrhage resulted quickly in the end. The fuenral, which
was largely attended, took place from St. Hedwig's Church on
Saturday morning, Father Pudlo officiating. His parents and three
brothers, Anton, Frank and Harry, and three sisters, the Misses
Mary, Tena and Celia, survive him. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
