Mr & Mrs. Jos. Cohen had a daughter.

Hugh McRae is going to open a flour and feed store on Willard St.

Mrs. J.W. McKesson moved into Wm. Barrett’s residence which was recently vacated by A.C. Finn.

Max Weber and Peter Laurson have built A.J. Krom’s new home.

H.O. Boynton bought H. Friess’ butchershop tools and will operate the local meat market.

Louis Johnson moved his shop tools and balance of his shoe stock to Stanley.

John McGrogan‘s new barn frame is up. Ben Finnegan is doing the work.

Rev. E. Beyer arrived here from Milwaukee last week to take charge of St. Bernards church.

75 YEARS AGO...

John Burke resigned as a driver for Standard Oil and Bob Childs has accepted the position.

Mr & Mrs. Frank Wnek’s 2 year old son died last Friday.

Ed. Zarada and Ed. Drangel have leased a mile of land and will build a dance pavilion.

Fred Borck, age 69, died July 11th.

Barney Rojtek, age 51, died July 9th by an accidental shooting.

Joseph Neuman, age 30 and James Kennedy, age 17, died when their car was hit by a train.

50 YEARS AGO...

Mrs. George Jakowicz, age 68 of Withee, died July 7th.

Matt Phillippi, age 71, died June 16th in Michigan.

Wed were Elinore Carlson, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Albert Kozar and Louis Konieczny on June 30th.

Mr & Mrs. John Paff and a son on July 8th.

Mr & Mrs. John Jarosz had a son June 29th.

25 YEARS AGO...

Steven Vizer, age 62, was killed July 9th when his car struck a utility pole.

Charles Jasinski, age 64, died June 28th in Eau Claire.

John O. Johnson, age 69, died July 5th at his home in Stanley.

Kathleen Broda and Gordon Neimi were wed June 26th in Withee.

Christine Nolecheck and Michael Dietrich were wed June 19th.

Mr & Mrs. David Foslid had a daughter on June 28th. Mrs. Foslid is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Baehr.

Pam Jean Ebben and Dennis Dale Berdal were wed June 5th.

Cynthia M. Szymanski and James A. Alger were wed June 12th.

Andrew Stuner, age 70, died July 9th.

Mary Kelley, age 89, died July 11th.

Mrs. Laura Hatton, age 80, died July 9th.

Joseph Carl Ciokiewicz, age 55, died June 28th in Minneapolis.

Carl Lund, age 73, died July 5th in Withee.

Services were held on July 13th for Andrew Miller Chirstensen, age 70.

Anthony Hagen, age 24 of Owen, died Friday.

Timothy Geist, age 16, drowned July 11th near Stanley.

Robert Boss, age 53, died in Curtiss.

Mrs. Vera Diamond, age 76, died July 4th.

10 YEARS AGO...

Ernest Lobacz, age 38, died July 14th.

Rose Balicki, age 91, died July 11th in Slater, Missouri.

Walter Emmerson, age 78, died July 15th in Hixon.

Timothy Wehemann, age 21 of Howards Grove, died June 25th in Madison.
