Morse, Leighton (30 Jul 1874 - 11 Jan 1913)

Leighton Morse, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Morse, died at the home of his parents in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), of cancer of the stomach, on Saturday last, after an illness of several months. Mr. Morse suffered much and death came as a relief. He was born at Weyauwega, Wis., on July 30, 1874. He was united in marriage with Miss Christian Ohman here eleven years ago and moved to the far west, returning here last fall with his family. He leaves a wife and six children, the oldest being nine years of age, the youngest four months old. The funeral took place from the M. E. Church on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. J. T. Kneen officiating, burial was in the Thorp Village Cemetery.
