Klouda, Mrs. (1837? - 14 Jan 1912)

The death of Mrs. Klouda occurred on Sunday evening last at the home of her son, Joseph Klouda, with whom she had resided for several years. Her age was seventy-four years and she was born in Austria, immigrating to this country with her husband about seventeen years ago and for a number of years resided on a farm three miles east of the village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.). Her husband died on June 27, 1910, aged 83 years. Mrs. Klouda went to sleep as usual on Saturday night and continued sleeping until her death. She had been very feeble and almost helpless for some months previous. She leaves to mourn two daughters, Mrs. F. Plucinski of this village, Mrs. Mary Alschwang of Moscow, Russia, recently here on a visit, and two sons, Carl and Joseph Klouda of this village. The funeral occurred on Tuesday afternoon from the residence, Rev. J. B Bachman officiating. Interment took place in the Thorp Village Cemetery beside the remains of her husband.
