Stockwell, Ethel (Marriage - 5 Feb 1919)

Mr. William Crosby Holway and Miss Ethel Stockwell were united in marriage Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 5, 1919, at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. F. J. Baer, in Granton, Clark County, Wis., Judge James O'Neill officiating.

The groom is the son of Adj. General Orlando Holway and wife of Madison. He spent his boyhood days in La Crosse and Merrillan, and is a young man of ability and fine character. At present he is disbursing Officer in Adjutant General's Office at Madison.

The bride is the daughter of C. S. Stockwell. She was born and brought up in Neillsville and lived here all her life. After graduating from high school she took a business course and for some time has been stenographer in Schuster & Campman's office. Her quick mentality, her efficiency and aptness, and above all her genuine womanly qualities, have made her much admired and loved by many friends.

The wedding was attended by relatives only, among them being the groom's parents from Madison; Mrs. E. G. Wanner, the bride's sister from Bismarck, N.D. and Miss Bernice Stockwell, a niece of the bride from Spooner, Wis.

After a wedding trip to the Twin Cities, the young couple will make their home in Madison. Into that new home will go a lot of hearty good will and real interest from friends here for the happiness of these fine young people.
