Davis, Mariah G. (Marriage - 30 Jun 1917)

Miss Mariah G. Davis and Mr. Albert Ray Mortimer were married at the Methodist Church in Loyal, Clark County, Wis., at 10 o'clock p.m. last Sunday, Jun 30, 1917, Rev. Clock, the resident pastor, officiating. The happy pair were attended by her sister, Miss Ora Davis, and by his brother, Geo. Mortimer. The bride, who is the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Solon Davis, of the town of York, is a young woman of many excellent qualities, educated, refined and very worthy of the friendship and esteem of her large circle of friends. She has successfully taught in the public schools of the county the four years last passed and has made friends of all with whom she came in contact. The groom is the second son of Mrs. Estella Mortimer, of the town of York, a practical young farmer who has been successful in all his undertakings. He owns and operated the farm in York, where he and his bride are now cozily settle. The best wishes of all for a happy journey through life are given this happy pair. (Granton News)
